Wanton mee is one of those dishes every Singaporean has an opinion on. Thin noodles or springy? Black sauce or white? I went to Chef Kang’s to see if it belongs in the ‘best in Singapore’ conversation. My verdict: 4.4/5, among the best in Singapore. Would I go back? Absolutely.

Name your best wanton mee in Singapore. I’ll tell you if this one beats it.

Mum wanted turtle soup, my usual stall was closed that Monday, so we ended up at Fu He Turtle Soup in Berseh Food Centre. I've eaten here on and off for over a decade. Soup is S$13-S$20 with free refills. It's at #02-40, 166 Jalan Besar, open 11am-8pm, closed Fridays.

My score: 3.8/5. Not the best turtle soup in Singapore, but is it worth going? Absolutely.

We have a newborn and a toddler at home, and the haze keeps getting worse. PSI peaked at 192 on 9 Oct, close to 'Very Unhealthy' (201), and we now have three air purifiers running. My post covers what's causing the haze, why it matters more for little ones, and what we're doing about it.

Which air purifier is running in your home right now, and has it made a difference?

New to Tribecar? Use my referral code zrgmr when you sign up. Once you make your first e-wallet top-up of S$50 or more, we each get S$15 in credit. I earn credit when you use it, so treat this as a referral.

One thing to watch: make your first top-up S$50 or more. A smaller first top-up may forfeit the credit. Terms and caveats are in the post.

Which car-sharing deal should I check next?

A call from Tribecar support at 1pm: the car I was meant to have returned was still out, and someone was waiting for it. I'd refuelled at the last minute, paid cash and kept no receipt. Not my finest first drive.

My verdict: largely good, despite a couple of my own mistakes. I prefer Tribecar, but I haven't fully switched from GetGo.

My 4-hour trip: S$24 base (about S$6/hr), plus fees, petrol and a late fee that was my own doing. Full cost breakdown and the GetGo comparison on the blog.

Tribecar or GetGo? Tell me which one you use and why.
