Use GetGo referral code WNWUNLJX when signing up to get $8 off your first drive — no minimum spend, no membership fees, just enter it during registration.
How GetGo’s Referral Program Works
GetGo runs a straightforward “give $8, get $8” referral system:
- You (the new user) enter a referral code when signing up and get $8 off your first booking.
- The referrer gets $8 credited toward their own next drive, but only once you’ve completed that first trip.
It’s a genuine two-way reward, not just a one-sided sign-up bonus — so using someone’s GetGo referral code actually helps them out too, at no extra cost to you.
How to Redeem a GetGo Referral Code
- Download the GetGo app (iOS or Android) and start creating an account.
- Enter the referral code WNWUNLJX in the referral/promo code field during sign-up.
- Complete your profile and upload your driving licence for verification (usually approved within a few hours to a business day).
- Book your first drive as normal.
- The $8 discount applies automatically at checkout — no extra steps needed.
Quick Checklist: Are You Ready for Your First GetGo Drive?
Before you book, make sure you’ve got these sorted:
- A valid Class 3/3A Singapore driving licence
- You meet GetGo’s age and experience requirement: 19 or older with at least 1 year of driving experience, or 25 or older regardless of experience. Probationary (P-plate) licences aren’t accepted, except for those 25 and above signing up without prior driving experience
- A valid credit or debit card for payment
- Your own CashCard, loaded with some credit — GetGo cars do not come with one installed, and you’ll need it for ERP gantries and most carpark exits in Singapore. A dual-mode EZ-Link card with the ERP logo works too, but a standard EZ-Link card without it won’t
- Your driving licence uploaded and verified in the app — this can take a few hours to a business day, so don’t leave it to the last minute if you’re planning a same-day drive
- Wipes and hand sanitizer for a quick clean before you set off, since cars in a shared fleet see a lot of different drivers
- Your own phone charging cable, since not every car reliably has one built in
Get these sorted first, and your first booking should go smoothly from the moment you tap “Book now.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use more than one referral code? No — only one referral code can be applied per new account, during sign-up.
Can I stack a referral code with other promo codes? Generally no. Per GetGo’s own terms, promo and referral codes generally cannot be used together — you’ll need to pick whichever gives you the better discount for that specific booking.
Does it matter whose referral code I use? Not for your own discount — any valid GetGo referral code gets you the same $8 off. The only difference is who receives the referrer credit, so you might as well use one from someone whose content actually helped you decide to try GetGo in the first place.
Is there a minimum spend to use the code? No minimum spend is required to redeem the $8 off.
Is there a membership fee or deposit to join GetGo? No. GetGo doesn’t charge any sign-up, membership, or subscription fees, and there’s no deposit required — you only pay for the time and mileage you actually use.
Do I need to return the car to where I picked it up? Yes. GetGo is a point A-to-A service, meaning you pick up and return the car at the same location. It’s not a one-way or free-floating service, so plan your trip with a round-trip in mind.
Is fuel included? Petrol vehicles come with a fuel card (usually Esso) in the glovebox. If the tank drops below a quarter, you’re expected to top it back up using that card — and topping up from under a quarter to full can actually earn you a separate promo code ($6 promo code) as a small thank-you. EVs need to be charged at approved public charging stations instead.
How much does GetGo cost per hour? GetGo’s total booking cost includes a time charge, mileage charge, and platform fee. Time charges vary by vehicle category and booking period, while mileage currently costs $0.44/km for most petrol categories, $0.54/km for Luxury vehicles, and $0.29/km for most electric categories. Check the GetGo app for the exact rate applicable to your vehicle and booking time.
What happens if I get into an accident? Basic motor insurance is included, but you may be liable for own-vehicle damage and third-party claims up to the applicable insurance excess. Optional Standard or Enhanced Collision Damage Waiver reduces that excess but does not necessarily cover every accident-related charge. Higher excesses apply to drivers under 23, aged 70 or above, or with less than two years of driving experience. Review the excess and CDW options in the app before booking.
Is GetGo cheaper than owning a car in Singapore? For occasional drivers, generally yes — you skip COE, road tax, insurance, servicing, and season parking entirely, paying only for the hours and mileage you actually use. It becomes less cost-effective the more frequently you need a car, at which point ownership or a long-term lease may work out cheaper.
How many cars does GetGo have, and where are they parked? GetGo is the largest carsharing operator in Singapore, with over 3,000 vehicles parked across more than 1,700 locations islandwide — HDB carparks, condominiums, shopping malls, and near MRT stations. You can check exact availability and locations directly in the app.
